"My daughter and I absolutely fell in love with Johnny Derek's first CD, Rainy River Road. Johnny's music spans generations, as my daughter, in her twenties, is SO picky about what she listens to – and yet this album became our favorite of our mother/daughter 10 day trip in the Rockies. We listened to it constantly and nothing else! Very catchy original tunes! And VERY clever lyrics. Listening to it tonight many months later, I'm still loving it so much, smiling again over those clever lines, that I just must write a review. We got to experience Johnny playing live, and this gentle and lovely soul just captured our hearts. Awesome originals and such an awesome job on the covers – we didn't want the evening to end. Looking forward to hearing Johnny live again!  And hopefully another album coming!"

Johnny Derek.....musician/songwriter extrordinaire! He's upbeat, fun and extremely talented. I love all his music and play my Rainy River Road CD while I'm driving always! I never get tired of hearing that unique voice and the little chuckle that sneaks in from time to time. I would go out of my way any day for the priviledge of being in an audience at a live performance.

Barb Gladue here, I have had the privilege and fun to be able to play music with Johnny. Whether we were playing a house concert, a fund raiser in the park, or in a theatre, we had a blast! I think most attendees would say the same. He plays and sings with so much heart... and humour.. If you haven't had a chance to hear his music yet...have a listen. He's a great story teller!

   Johnny’s played in Pubs, Bars, Roadhouses, Churches, Community Halls and Coffee Houses but he says quite adamantly, “There’s nothing more musically intimate . . . than a night of live music in a person’s own home!” Have a “House Concert ” and hug a musician!!
